Where is Puerto Aventuras?

Puerto Aventuras is located in the municipality of Solidaridad, in the state of Quintana Roo, approximately 20 minutes by car from Playa del Carmen.

Its privileged location allows easy access from Cancun International Airport, about 80 kilometers to the north.

To get there from Cancun, you can take Federal Highway 307 south, passing through Playa del Carmen, until you reach Puerto Aventuras. From Tulum, the trip north on the same highway takes about 30 minutes.

Public transportation is also a viable option, with buses and shared vans regularly running the Cancun-Tulum route, stopping in Puerto Aventuras.

What to do in Puerto Aventuras?

Puerto Aventuras offers a variety of activities for all tastes, especially for nature lovers.

Enjoy the beaches. Relax on white sandy beaches and the Caribbean Sea’s characteristic turquoise waters.

Explore the marina. Observe yachts, sailboats, and catamarans offering coastal tours.

  • Cenote Azul. Known for its turquoise waters and rock formations, perfect for snorkeling.
  • Cenote Chikin Ha. A semi-open cenote surrounded by jungle.

When visiting, it is recommended to bring snorkeling gear, water shoes, and respect conservation rules. The best time to explore them is during the dry season, from November to April, when conditions are optimal.
