Mexican Recipe: Bistec a la Mexicana

Bistec a la Mexicana

Traditional dish of northern Mexico, it can be accompanied with rice and refried beans.

Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces of steak
  • 3 pieces of Roma tomato
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 serrano pepper
  • vegetable oil to taste
  • 1 garlic clove
  • salt
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup of water

Preparation:

Cut the meat into squares.

Cut the tomato, onion and the serrano pepper into cubes.

Heat the pan with vegetable oil, add the meat and a pinch of salt, when the meat is cooked and has no juice, add the onion and the serrano pepper and mix until it have changed color and released the flavour, now add the tomato, garlic, salt and ground black pepper to taste and mix everything, add the water and cover, cook for 5 minutes.

The mexican dish is ready.
